How to enable Google maps on your mobile phone


The days have gone when the phones were used for only call and SMS. Now, you can use Google Maps on your mobile phone to know what’s around you. Yeah! That’s true and possible with Google maps. Google maps guide you step by step. You can know the total time required to reach your destination according to the traffic flow.  You also get voice alerts about whether you are going right or wrong. These maps work in the presence of wireless network. Despite the excellent features, it’s still a big disadvantage. However, I assure you will enjoy using it. Follow out these steps to use Google maps on your mobile phone.

  1. Open browser on your mobile phone and visit:
  2. Now you will see a map on your screen in small size. In order to pan and zoom you have to slide finger from left and click on cursor. 
  3. Now zoom the map.
  4. On the top of screen you will see the search bar. Type the destination place and It will appear before you. 
  5. Now click on the telephone number to place the call. 
  6. A dark line will appear on the map showing your way. You can select the scales. There are three scales: 
    • Traffic 
    • Longitude 
    • Satellite

This point shows that here traffic is present.

By doing this you can get avoided by the entire hustle bustle and definitely you can save time. This is one of the easiest ways to use maps on your mobile phone. No matter what brand mobile phone you are using as long as your phone have internet. Try with this and share your response with us!

    I’m try to download google maps on my Blackberry 8520 and i can download but I can’t install it, is this some problem with my mobile phone or it is not built for blackberry phone model the one i’m using?

    Hello and welcome to 2008. Actually Google Maps were introduced to mobile devices in 2006, but what we see now was introduced in 2008. That’s 4 years ago. It’s 2012. And you’re writing an article NOW to tell us about it? Really? I have another news flash for you… Apple will be coming out with a cellular phone 5 years ago. Better make a note to tell people about it in a few years.

    Denny, read the article carefully, i never said when it was introduced but i’m trying to explain that how a newbie can enable google maps on his/her mobile phone. I know you would be very smart who been using every model of smartphone and knows how to run google map on each of them. isn’t it?
