Hundreds of avid golf fans were saddened to hear about the death of one of the most talented young golfers that we have seen in the last couple of years. Erica Blasberg was discovered dead on May 10th at the premises of her Henderson home in her hometown of Nevada. Up till so far no cause of death has been announced and many fans and supporters are eagerly waiting for it to be disclosed.
Erica was only 25 when she died leaving behind a thriving and promising career. Some would say that she was at the top of her game and still had a long way to go. In the Tres Marias Championship in Morelia, Mexico, Erica finished tied for the 44th position. This was her only start for 2010.
Erica was quite a sensation with teens, youngsters and adults alike around the world. During her short career, she managed to captivate and enthrall a wide fan base and international following. Moreover, she had many brand endorsements under her belt. PUMA Golf chose her as their brand ambassador in 2006 which landed her many commercials, advertisements and campaigns with the sports giant. This was a great accomplishment for Erica as she was signed as their brand ambassador when PUMA newly launched their golf category in early 2006.
Erica was exceptional on the course and livened up any tournament with her youthful and fun energy. In June 2004, she turned professional and was currently on the LPGA Tour in her sixth season. From the very beginning Erica was a talented golf prodigy and showed traits of becoming an amazing golf player.
It is truly heartbreaking that the world has lost such a gifted and talented golfer in the shape of Erica Blasberg. According to her friends, family and colleagues, Erica was a fun and vibrant person to be around who always radiated warmth and positivity wherever she went. She will be missed for all that she could have achieved in life and for all the milestones she could have reached in her flourishing career.
